COPYEDITING

Light Copyedit: The editor fixes obvious grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. Any other changes to wordiness or clarity will be sent as a query to the author, who is then able to make alterations on their own.

Medium Copyedit:

The editor fixes obvious grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. Changes to the text are more likely, as the editor aims to fix wordy sentences and streamline word-choice/aesthetic decisions.

Heavy Copyedit:

The editor fixes obvious grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. The editor also takes more liberty in changing sentence structure and word-choice. *A heavy copyedit may mean the content is more dense (academic papers, for example) and will require longer to work through.

Files should be on hard copy, in Word, or in Adobe Acrobat.

Not sure which level of copyediting you are hoping for? No problem! Feel free to email with any questions.
